About us

3Sixty Health formally known as (Sechaba Medical Solutions) was founded in 1978 by 38 black professionals, mostly doctors, who had a vision of starting up a medical aid primarily for disenfranchised black South Africans. Under the leadership of political and business stalwart Dr Nthato Motlana and several other visionaries, including Dr Abner Tlakula, Sechaba Medical Solutions was established together with Sizwe Medical Fund. In 2019, Sechaba Medical Solutions changed its name to 3Sixty Health. Today, more than 40 years later, 3Sixty Health continues to administer the newly amalgamated Sizwe Hosmed Medical Scheme and SAB Medical Scheme with access of over 70 000 principal members.

It is accredited by the Council for Medical Schemes to offer both administration and managed-care services, allowing for a fully integrated, beneficiary-centric approach. Our core competencies in administration include membership management, billing, claim adjudication and customer services.
